One afternoon when I was having a quiet cup of tea in the garden, slinging a few cards, I heard her before I saw her.
Bonnie the Sulphur Crested Cockatoo flew in and demanded to know more about these cards that I was so interested in. So I showed her some of my favourites.
“Why don’t we make a deck together and use it to tell people about my bush friends?” she said
While it might seem like a hare brained scheme to collaborate with an ADS Cocky I agreed to do a walk through the Tarot with her.
She said that all her bush friends would want to join in so I agreed to let her be my Chariot and disappear with her for at least a couple of hours each day.
“You can come too’ I said to dog but he put his nose down, closed his eyes and showed little interest in cavorting with a Cocky Cockatoo.
“Your choice” i told him as I gathered my drawing supplies and set up a big fat binder to keep my sketches and notes in.
Before I could clamber on Bonnie’s back a claw reached out of a huge mushroom cloud holding a rather large coin.
It was the arm of a Koala bear! A definite sign!
“The koala’s main virtue is that it brings calm and balance” said Bonnie in a most authoritative voice.
“Well that is auspicious” I sniggered. “And unbelievably appropriate given our new adventure together” I added.
“Nothing happens by chance” opined Bonnie! “And JFYI I can do calm” she added.
